Beach Overview

Broad Haven beach - along the coast from its smaller neighbour Little Haven - is a broad, sandy beach that offers plenty of space to enjoy the beautiful scenery - even in the peak season. Broad Haven is a very popular beach. Low tide reveals huge swathes of sand that are particularly popular with families. You will likely see surfers and boarders along the coast, as this is a very popular spot for such sports and activities.

More Information

The cliffs that surround Broad Haven tumble down either side of the beach to provide a multitude of rock pools. There are some impressive stacks and geological attractions, including Den’s Door to the north of the beach. This rock has two arches at its base, which you can go through at low tide. This is opposite the ‘Sleek Stone’ - often known as the ‘Whaleback’ given its similarity to a large whale.

The Coast Path, as ever, arrives at on end of the resort and leaves at the other. This means that you can walk to and from the beach easily. The path is gentle in and around the beach meaning that it’s as attractive to those wishing to stroll as it is to those wanting a hardier walk.

Facilities

The village of Broad Haven has a number of facilities that help make this beach popular with visitors. There are places to eat and drink, two main car parks and a village store. It provides plenty of opportunities to make Broad Haven a stop for the day.
