One of the most popular beaches in Pembrokeshire, Freshwater East has a lavish sweep of fine sand backed with sand dunes, cliffs and rolling green fields.
The hugely popular family destination offers plenty of space for sandcastles through to beach games. The beach is cradled in a bay, keeping the tide calm and making it a perfect spot for swimming. There is no lifeguard station here, so caution is always advised when bathing in the sea.

A small babbling brook at one end of the beach is popular with young children who enjoy clambering through it and taking a splurge in the clear, enticing waters.
Access to the beach is largely through sand dunes, but there is a lane leading from Stackpole Road that continues down into the beach. There is a separate blue badge holders only car park and a crushed stone path leads to the beach, then a concrete path onto sand. Beach wheelchairs are available to hire, book here
The car park is located opposite the beach at the bottom of Trewent Hill and has just over 100 spaces. There is a holiday park, which opens its facilities to the public. The toilets are open 7 am to 8 pm throughout the year. There are no baby changing or disabled facilities. There is a pub in the village, which is a short drive/walk away.
Dogs are allowed all year.
