Beach Overview

Martin’s Haven is a small pebble beach that is used, primarily, for boats taking visitors over to Skomer Island. It is popular with divers and day-trippers, given its proximity to the Skomer Marine Nature Reserve

More Information

There is an abundance of wildlife here. Seabirds such as kittiwakes, razorbills, guillemots and, from time to time, puffins. Out in the water you could easily spot dolphins and seals. Basking sharks can make an appearance in the warmer months.

The cliffs and the paths that travel around the headland provide many opportunities for walkers, bird watchers and sightseers alike.

Access is via a steep lane that falls into the beach or via a narrow steep path from the Coast Path

Car Parking

There is parking available at the National Trust car park. This is free to NT members.

Toilets

A public toilet block is located on the hillside leading away from the beach

Dogs are allowed.

Please don’t underestimate how busy the Skomer Island boat trips are. We recommend booking in advance as far as possible.
