This is a large, beautifully sandy bay, backed by imposing cliffs providing both privacy and protection from the elements.
This beach is a hidden gem, in so far it’s underwater a lot! The beach only becomes visible and accessible at mid and low tides. It means that it is not available as much as nearby beaches. It also means there is only one way in and one way out, so understanding times is essential when visiting here.

Access to the beach is also difficult; it is accessible along the Coast Path or via a ten-minute walk across fields to the total path access point. Thereafter access to the beach is made via steps formed the stones that climbs down the impressive headland.
The beach is therefore quite quiet as it is only available to those determined to get there and only when the tide is out!
There are no facilities at the beach. It is not accessible for anyone in a wheelchair or with a buggy.
Dogs are allowed year round.
There are no parking places, but there are some spaces along the lanes that overlook the bay. A few footpaths lead from this area to the beach.
