More Information

The clear, inviting waters are generally safe in which to swim, but as ever, caution is advised.

Due its remote location, Porthmynawyd Beach is less busy than the nearby beach of Newgale. After mid-tide, the bay reveals a large area of soft, wet sand so remember to check the tide times below.

Easy Access?

Porthmynawyd is only accessible via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, between Newgale and Solva. Getting to the beach will require either walking along the coast path between Newgale and Solva, or through the fields of Pointz Castle Farm. (SA62 6BA)

Car Parking

Parking is very limited, with a few spaces in a lay-by on the A487. If you are planning to walk from Newgale or Solva, both of these locations have car parks.
