Nestled between Newgale and Solva is Porthmynawyd, a stunning little beach which comes into its own as the tide goes out. The beach is accessed from the Coast Path between Newgale and Solva and has a fairly steep walk down to the beach.

The clear, inviting waters are generally safe in which to swim, but as ever, caution is advised.
Due its remote location, Porthmynawyd Beach is less busy than the nearby beach of Newgale. After mid-tide, the bay reveals a large area of soft, wet sand so remember to check the tide times below.
Porthmynawyd is only accessible via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, between Newgale and Solva. Getting to the beach will require either walking along the coast path between Newgale and Solva, or through the fields of Pointz Castle Farm. (SA62 6BA)
Parking is very limited, with a few spaces in a lay-by on the A487. If you are planning to walk from Newgale or Solva, both of these locations have car parks.

There are no facilities or amenities here, however refreshments are available nearby at Pointz Castle Ice Cream. It is walkable from the beach and offers a selection of fabulous ice creams and drinks. The villages of Solva and Newgale are also not too far away.
