Beach Overview

Priory beach is a beautifully sandy, relatively quiet stretch of sand on the island of Caldey, just off the coast of Tenby. The beach is reached after a 20/30 min boat trip across to the island from the harbour or castle at Tenby. Boats depart between Easter and October on weekdays and on Saturdays during June, July and August.

More Information

The island is home to monks of the Cistercian Order. The monetary itself is not open to the public, but there are facilities that are open to the public such as a shop and cafe. There are also toilets available. The island is only open to visitors throughout the tourist season.

The beach itself is a stunning expanse of sand with gentle waters lapping away. Although you look across the mainland, you could be miles away from everywhere.

Access is limited to the ability to get into and out of the boats that travel between Tenby and the island.

Dogs are allowed on a lead.
