Church Doors Cove and Shrinkle Haven perform a secluded and rather secret double act not too far from the bustle of Tenby. These small, secluded coves are rocky at high tide but beautifully sandy beaches at low tide.

Church Doors Cove gets its name because of the impressive rock formation that encloses this particular cove. Towering into the sky, the rock is shaped like tall, domineering doorways that straddle the sea. These are likened to church doors from where the bay gets its name. The impressive Limestone cliffs soar into the sky from this small cove, contrasting the clear water and sandy shore with their darker properties.
The two beaches are separated by a relatively small headland, although it’s easy to walk from one beach to the other when the tide is out. It’s possible to walk between the two via a small cave where access can be made.
Access is via a very steep set of steps. There are no facilities at this secluded bay, but dogs are allowed. Parking is available opposite the Youth Hostel and at a clifftop car park further down the lane and only a few minutes from Church Doors Cove.
