Whitesands is one of the most popular beaches along this stretch of the coast. Although more golden than white, this Blue Flag beach is nonetheless a beautiful stretch of sand.

Although a thin strip of sand at high tide, it is at low tide that the majesty of this beach is revealed. A beautiful bay of lush sand and gloriously clear waters, tempt all kind of activities. It is a popular destination for families and swimming and bathing is much enjoyed here.
There is plenty of attractive headland to explore, with a plethora of craggy outcrops and cliffs to walk on, over and around.
There is a car park directly behind the beach. The paid car park (£5) can hold about 60 cars, but can also get very busy during the summer. There is a shuttle bus (summer only) from The Oriel y Parc car park in St Davids that can take you to Whitesands.
Access to the beach is through the car park or via the coast path. There is a slipway from the car park down onto the beach so it is accessible for those in wheelchairs or with buggies.
There are toilets onsite but charge a fee of 40p. They are open 24hrs. There is a cafe and there are often ice cream vans in peak season.
There is a cafe at the beach (Whitesands Beach House). Further facilities are in the city of St Davids which is nearby. It has numerous cafes, pubs, restaurants and a good choice of accommodation
Dogs are not allowed on the beach from 1st May - 30th September.
